Saved Trips and Travel Preferences: Saved trip records, trip status (planned, in progress, completed), and user-defined travel preferences.
Completed Trip Records: Completion dates, star ratings, personal notes, and states visited associated with trips marked as completed.
WanderMap Travel History: A record of US states visited by the user based on completed trip data, used to render the user's personal WanderMap.
Memory Album Photos: Photos uploaded by users during trip completion. These photos are stored in private memory albums and are only visible to the account owner.
Community Engagement Data: Likes, saves, shares, follows, forks, comments, and other community interaction data generated by the user.
Device and Analytics Information: Device type, operating system, browser or app version, feature usage data, and diagnostic information used to improve app performance.
Location Information: Location data voluntarily provided by the user for trip-planning purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

To generate and save personalized road trip itineraries.
To maintain your account, saved trips, and travel history.
To display your WanderMap and explorer progress.
To support community features such as trip publishing and social engagement.
To improve app features, performance, and user experience.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Profile Information

Users may choose to create a public traveler profile that includes a screen name, profile photo, bio, and home city/state (optional). This information may be visible to other WanderRoad users. Users control whether their profile is public, community-visible, or private through profile settings.

5. Completed Trips & Memory Albums

When users mark trips as completed, WanderRoad may store completion dates, ratings, personal notes, states visited, and uploaded photos associated with the trip.

Photos uploaded during trip completion are stored in private memory albums. Private memory album photos are only visible to the account owner and are not publicly displayed unless the user explicitly chooses to share them through a future public-sharing feature.

6. Community Content

Users may choose to publish trip itineraries to the WanderRoad Community. Published content may be visible to other users and may include trip title, destinations, stops, categories, and trip descriptions. Users' selected screen names may be displayed alongside published trips.

Private trip notes and private memory album photos are not included in community posts. Ratings, comments, likes, saves, and forks associated with published trips may be publicly visible. Users are responsible for content they choose to publish. WanderRoad reserves the right to remove content that violates community guidelines or platform policies.

7. AI-Generated Content

WanderRoad uses AI to generate trip itineraries. Trip prompts — including origin, destination, and user preferences — are sent to AI services to produce results. No personally identifiable information beyond stated trip preferences is included in these requests. AI-generated itineraries are suggestions intended for informational and entertainment purposes. We do not guarantee the accuracy, availability, suitability, safety, or completeness of generated itineraries. Users assume responsibility for travel decisions made using information provided by WanderRoad.

8. Affiliate Links

WanderRoad may display affiliate links to hotels, lodging, attractions, activities, or travel services. If a user makes a purchase through an affiliate link, WanderRoad may earn a commission at no additional cost to the user. Affiliate partners operate under their own privacy policies and terms of service, which are independent of this policy.

9. Analytics

WanderRoad may collect anonymous usage information to improve app performance and user experience. Examples include pages viewed, trips created, features used, and community engagement activity. This information is used in aggregate and is not linked to individual user identities.

10. Data Storage & Security

User information is stored using secure cloud infrastructure provided through Base44 and associated service providers. We use commercially reasonable safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. While we strive to protect user information, no online service can guarantee complete security.

11. User Controls

Users may:

Edit profile information including screen name, bio, and profile photo.
Modify saved trips and trip statuses.
Delete saved trips and completed trip records.
Remove published community content.
Delete uploaded memory album photos.
Delete their account and associated data using available account management tools.
Request correction of inaccurate information.
Request deletion of personal information where permitted by applicable law.

12. Children's Privacy

WanderRoad is not directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected, it will be removed as soon as reasonably practicable.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically as WanderRoad features evolve. Updated versions will be posted within the application with a revised Last Updated date. Continued use of the application after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.

WanderRoad itineraries are AI-generated suggestions intended for informational and entertainment purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, availability, suitability, safety, or completeness of any generated itinerary, stop, lodging suggestion, or activity recommendation. Always verify business hours, road conditions, pet policies, and travel requirements independently before your trip.
